A: SMS is the abbreviation for Short Message Service. SMS messages are primarily communications to mobile or cell phone devices. Q: Is this the same as text messages?

A: The SMS standard specification supports 160 characters as the maximum all carriers must support. We have implemented our platform to support the industry standard. Q: Who is "24726"?
A: On a telephone handset 24726 corresponds to the characters in our company name "CISCO." We have registered this number in the United States and Canada. We intend to make sure that all messages that you receive from us on your U.S. or Canadian cell phone will note this number as the sender. This will allow you to verify that a message is from Cisco and not a third party. Q: Why am I receiving a text message from one of the following phone numbers: "447797801642" or "919901218888" or "01333663671"?
A: These numbers has been registered by Cisco to communicate to customers via text messages outside the US and Canada. These are the only phone numbers we use to send text messages from and will allow you to validate that a text message is from Cisco and not a third party. Q: How do I sign-up?

A: Cisco will not charge you for this service. Your carrier may charge you for receiving and sending the text messages. A: If you wish to cancel your subscription for all of the topics you subscribed to, reply to one of the text messages you received from Cisco with just the word STOP and we will cancel your subscription(s). If you only wish to cancel your subscription to a specific topic:
For example to cancel your subscription to mobility alerts reply to any text message you received from Cisco with the the following(without the quotes) ‘Mobility STOP’ Q: Will I receive un-solicitied messages from Cisco via an SMS message?
A: We will send you only the information that you request. All messages sent to a phone number in the United States & Canada will come from the number 24726. Outside the US & Canada, Cisco text messages will originate from "447797801642". We will not send you messages from another number.
