IOS-XR Routing Platforms Requirements

To achieve an IOS-XR Routing Platforms ATP certification, partners must fulfill each of the following defined job roles:

  • Systems Engineer
  • Field Engineer I
  • Field Engineer II

Note: One individual may not fulfill more than one job role within the IOS-XR ATP. Persons filling roles must be employees.

Because technology continues to evolve, Cisco ATP requirements are subject to change. Please refer to this site often to ensure that you meet all current program requirements.

The IOS-XR Routing Platforms ATP program requirements are as follows:


Systems Engineer
The SE will assist customers to plan, design, acquire, configure, implement, and integrate the systems required to support Cisco IOS XR Routing Platforms solution(s).

Prerequisite:

  • CCDA or higher

Required Certification:

  • Cisco Certified Design Associate

Field Engineer I
The FE 1 is required to assist customers with the physical implementation of the Service Provider Networking solution.

Prerequisite:

  • None

Required Certification:

  • None

Field Engineer II
The FE 2 is required to assist customers with the implementation of the Service Provider Networking solution, with an emphasis on design, extended configuration, testing and tune-up of the systems being implemented.

Prerequisite:

  • Any CCIE Certification

Required Certification:

  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert
