Cisco Compatible Extensions

Application Guidelines

If your company produces and sells wireless LAN (WLAN) client devices, you are eligible for the Cisco Compatible Extensions (CCX) Program for WLAN devices. The CCX Program is subordinate to the new Cisco Developer Network (CDN) program. Your company can take advantage of the benefits associated with Cisco innovations and tested interoperability with Cisco Aironet; wireless LAN products. The technology is licensed at no cost, however, charges for 3rd party independent testing will apply, and membership in the Cisco Developer Network (CDN) program is required. CDN Program Fees are assessed on a yearly basis to offset technical support costs and Cisco go-to-market programs.

Once your company has accepted the CCX Master Technology Licensing Agreement (TLA) with the appropriate Addenda and completed the CDN application, your candidacy will be reviewed. Upon completion of CCX Certification, your product will be listed on Cisco.com and in the CDN Partner Portal as "Cisco Compatible". In addition, you will be able to begin marketing your product with the Cisco Compatible logo according to the terms outlined in the CDN Program Guidelines.
